Yum Beautiful view Yum Gorgeous setting Yum!!! We had the black and blue salad and the strawberry salad. Our server, Lisa, suggested we swap out the meat in the strawberry salad if we wanted steak. We did not know we could do that. Lisa was fabulously attentive! Her demeanor was kind, warm and welcoming. She was quick to notice when our drinks were empty. Way to go Lisa!!! When we return we will ask for you!!n

This place has a great view and good food. My friend and I had to wait a while on a Saturday night, but I wasn't super hungry anyway. We were seated at a very large table, which was a little awkward. I got a frozen drink that was very good. The bread they provide has some very tasty butter. I got the sirloin with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. The salad was good and so were the mashed potatoes. The sirloin was ok. It was a little tough and hard to cut despite ordering it as rare. The menu is quite large, so there are plenty of options for everyone.

Our group of 4 was seated immediately at 6pm on a Monday. Dinner was solid. Service was good. The Parmesan fried asparagus ($12.99) with wasabi ranch was great. Our table had 2 orders of that because neither couple wanted to share. The bread they bring to the table is really delicious too. One person had the 7oz filet mignon and commented that it was better previously. Another person had grilled shrimp with seasoned rice. She seemed to like the shrimp. My husband had the black angus cheeseburger with French fries ($14.99); he said it was a good burger but the fries were barely warm. I ordered the grilled ahi tuna ($25.99); I tried to order it raw but was told that they can do seared/rare. I said that's fine. I subbed the steamed broccoli for onion rings ($2.99 upgrade). Wow! Those onion rings are extra large and a little messy to eat. I was stuffed after the fried asparagus appetizer and seared tuna so the onion rings and mashed potatoes came home with me. I'd recommend this restaurant and request to sit outside if the weather isn't chilly (it was a little cold for us so we were seated in a booth). The view outside is spectacular! Great for date nights.

Lakeside Tavern is a great location. It's the first place we take visitors to eat mainly for the ambience. The view of the boats and river is so relaxing. When you arrive they have rocking chairs for you to wait in. Sundays they offer an over-priced buffet, but I'd stick to their regular menu because it's better unless you have a crazy appetite. Tons of options on the buffet from breakfast to dinner and pizza options. I love their salmon and they also have fantastic Parmesan fried asparagus appetizer. Fresh delicious salads I've also tried, my favorite bring the Tavern Strawberry Salad. We've had some great service and some meh service. It just depends on your waiter/waitress.
